Peter J. Ketchum

Peter J. Ketchum’s ephemerally based artwork is out of the art world’s mainstream. In fact, it is not even a tributary. According to the New York Times, “Ketchum knows how to get the viewer’s attention in a manner that is provocative, funny and to the point. Attempts to pigeonhole the work as Pop, folk, cartoon, mixed media, collage, anthropomorphic, or merely strange tend to fall short of the mark!”

His work is in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian, and was included in “35 Artists of North America,” which was curated by the former director of the Guggenheim Museum.
